Most of you have heard of The Gorillaz. I loved them when they first came out and still find myself liking most of their newer stuff, this song included. It's called "On Melancholy Hill" and it is slow and calm considering The Gorillaz other work. The video is spectacular as always. So, just sit back and enjoy this easy one.

SOTD: Flashback 25!!!

I've liked Jack Conte for a long time. He is half of the famous Youtube group Pomplamoose. And here is a random fact: Jack Conte was the voice of young adult male in Sims 2. Anyway, this is one of his early mashup videos and he is mashing up "First Day Of My Life" by Bright Eyes (which was SOTD 21) and Aphex Twin. Enjoy the flashback!!!

HEY! *I say nervously. Hoping you wouldn't notice my absence.* Sorry it has been so long. I know I promised I would try for at least once a month and I have been slacking. I apologize profusely. I now I have two jobs and have recently moved, so there is that. ANYWAY! I will post a few videos this month to make up for it, so get ready for that.

On to this edition. A few weeks ago, my roommate, Brooke, was humming and singing this song and it seemed like a song I had heard before, so I looked up the lyrics. I got re-hooked on Metric instantly. Technically, they are appearing on my list for the second time since they wrote and performed SOTD 71 "Black Sheep" from the Scott Pilgrim Vs. Song of the Day 83!!!

I was introduced to this band not too long ago and apparently everyone else I know has heard of them. I guess I was just left out of the loop. I instantly fell in love with them. The bands name is Guster and I HIGHLY recommend checking them out. I prefer their live performances though because they seem to have more fun with them which is why I am using a live performance video instead of an official video this edition and you'll see why. The song I chose is called "Satellite" so sit back and enjoy!

Flashback: SOTD 24!!!

I know Muse is a bit of a big thing now, but there were very few of us that really liked them in the early days. I am included in that group.
